The most significant scene to me, aside from all of the obvious options, was Act I, Scene III, when Othello is being put to trial and being accused of using witchcraft to make Desdemona fall in love with him. This proves that there is racism involved; why else would it be a big enough deal to go to the council? If Othello were white, it would still probably be a big deal- but not as much. This is the first indication of the harsh feelings between Othello and Barbantio and how Iago hates Othello. It also shows how much Iago is willing to betray Othello by encouraging Roderigo to stalk Desdemona and by starting to plot how he will ruin Othello and Cassio. Overall I felt this was a very significant scene.
